I did this install on my buddies 98' last summer. The typical japanese instructions and everything. It took us about 30min to do the first side, less than 10minutes on the second side.

I want to say we used a civic install for a guide, but I'l check TI and double check there arn't any pictures.

*I always use google to search honda-tech and team-integra. Its so much more efficient. Here you go:

I followed Japanese instruction but refuse to cut any window molding so I just tuck all clips under molding. Final end towards rear, I do not want to drill hole so I just use strong small piece of double face tape.

I don't remember drilling a hole for the install, and the instructions I posted state the hole was already drilled from the factory.

On the top of the door, where the factory drilled hole is... the little silver screws are NOT long enough...

I can get it to thread when not in the window frame... but even with just the screw in there, it only feels like maybe 1.5 threads visible for screwing that one in... Getting it to line up is a PITA alone... now without the correct amount of threads... it SUCKS!!! I wonder if I can find the same thread pitch in a longer shank.

Yes yes... been to that site MANY of times. I have a place I used to work here that would just give me the 2 I need locally... need to call down there tomorrow. For now, I'll get the other 2 clips installed... hope this thing holds. I'm not going to drill the hole by the mirror area and there's not one on the car from the factory.

This is a royal PITA to do... wish I had the right tools here at the house. Snap on makes a wonderful seal tool just right for stuff like this.

Dave, don't worry about the screw by the mirror, I just took the clip and duck taped it inside the door frame where it should go. The last screw at the end of the door frame above the door handle on mine also only used maybe a thread or two of the screw, no big deal it will hold, I had them expo and got up to 110-120 on the straights and they were solid. I also didn't cut any of the rubber window molding, just stick the clips in the frame and put the rubber seals back where they belong and you are good to go. Also the last clip that is on the side of the door frame that has the plastic button that goes into the visor is also not used. GL

I installed these a few weeks ago. The hole near the top of the door, the screws will screw into the bracket. Keep working it.

As far as the supposed hole near the mirror, these isn't so I just put the clip under the molding and it holds fine.

Make sure you cut a little of the molding off where the brackets are so the molding can sit flush instead of being lumpy.

Overall the install is pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

That is because you need to drill that hole. I did it on mine and it was extremely easy, just measure twice and drill once.

OP: I don't remember having a problem with the screws being too short so it sounds like you are doing something wrong. Also make sure you do the slits in the molding or the visors won't sit right.

I understand you need to drill it, but the clip holds fine without screwing it in.

I will try to get pics, but the silver screw is TOO SHORT... I even had the GF hold the screw while I lined up the clip and tried... no go... These things are just not long enough period... I also noticed where that hole is, from the factory it's "lifted" if you will. I ended up taking a hammer slightly with the screw in place and a piece of fabric and tried hammering slightly to make it flush again... Still no go on the screw.

For now, I just did the drivers side. No screw in that top hole, no side piece you have to cut for. Not a single clip screwed in the frame (no drilling of a hole) and no tape to hold the clips. I figure I was going to go back anyway once I find just a hair longer screws so I "mocked" it up.

it's a royal PITA to do at first, as with the Mugen intake. But once you get through it, it's not to bad. I just hate working with seals like that, especially without the right tools. Flat bladed screw driver was ok, but not what I would have prefered.

I'll end up going back and probably document the passenger side since I didn't install it yet.

HA!!! He doesn't do any installs that are in Japanese... period. And the car is at my house, not the shop so he'd want me to bring it there and all that jazz... just easier at the house than deal with him whining.

I will however go get his Snap-On tool that is similar to a screw driver, but at the end it's sorta like a cork screw so you can get behind the seal/molding and get it to sit right.

I got it figure out now. It's just one of those things that are confusing as hell to start, but once you get rolling it's not so bad. The hard ones are the vertical one and the top of the door one. Other than that, the others were easy. Only took about 20 mins, once i got over the short screw issue (yes, go ahead and zing me on the short screw guys... )

not a single piece of tape, nor glue... It's not finished but now I see the bigger picture and how it works.

Hard to look at the install pics provided (the cut out view of the seal and door frame) and see how things go.
