Default Honda Access Window Visor Install (EK): UPDATED 2nd Round

After a lot of asking and PM'ing for an update on the picture request. I decided to re-do this DIY. I know there are a lot of other people as well who bought these and don't know how to install them. The only useful information from the previous post was the Bracket Diagram. So with out further chattering here it goes.

SUPPLIES/TOOLS:

Screwdriver, small head, PHILLIPS
Screwdriver, big/wide head. FlAT FACED
Wire Cutters
Patience and a nice sunny day...

THE FOLLOWING PIC's ARE BORROWED< SO MAKE SURE YOU THANK THEM

ICB Motorsport

STEP 1: Start out by removing the inner molding, this is the one where the window tucks into.

STEP 2: Remove the upper/outer molding, this is the one that starts from the top of the window frame and hugs into the window molding. When you remove this molding you will see (2) wholes near the side mirror and the other close to the B Pillar on the door frame.

STEP 3: Grab braket(s) B (2 per side) and place them in the wholes already set on the window. With the screws/Clips supplied tighten them down on both ends.

With both (B) bracket(s) already in place pull back on the upper molding on to the window frame. Work it with your wide head screwdriver for better fitments. You will notice that the molding WON'T wrapped around the bracket(s) anymore.
SOLUTION get your wire cutters and cut around the bracket(s) so it's flush again. (THIS IS OPTIONAL, BUT WILL RESULT IN A MUCH TIGHTER FIT)

STEP 4: With the remaining bracket(s) F & H. Put them on the window visor with the clips supplied. An alternative is also to put the brackets on the door frame first and then clip them on to the visor.

Step 5: With all the bracket(s) already in place grab your the rest of screws/clips. and put them on B bracket. Tighten everything down and place the window molding back up on to the frame. Again, work it with your wide head screwdriver. Pull back a few feet and enjoy your successful install!

hope this helped

Depends on how you want to install them. But if you put the clips on the visor first. You will the braket how its molded to the door leaving the whole on the outside for the CLIP. Just align the bracket whole with the visor whole. OF COURSE each bracket corresponds to a specific whole. Then, simply grab your clip { ]= / and push it in. {]|

Aren't there 5 holes on the visor? What'd you do with the 5th hole near the side mirror?

My bad i don't have that one pictures on my 1st pic. But if you look on the 5th step their is all 5 holes. The two on each end of the visor are the ones that use the screws. The inner ones use the "clips"

Yeah after trying to install them, I figured out the outer holes are the B brackets and the 2nd to last one to the mirror is just empty and uses the clip.

for the write-up. Helped A LOT! I love these visors though. Tested them tonight in a MASSIVE down pour and they're amazing. Gotta love OEM.
