OBD2 to OBD1 JDM B18C no spark
Had a buddy drop a 95 JDM B18C into my 01 Integra (GSR) now I am not getting any spark from the distributor. We have the OBD2 jumper to OBD1 and still nada. Brand new distibutor. Any ideas?
Any shops in Socal that could troubleshoot this for me? Im in the Coachella valley east of L.A.

just change the dizzy to your obd2 dizzy. See what you get. Remember that the obd2 engine utilizes a crank angle sensor on the engine and the 95 does not. Did you notice an extra plug????

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 JDM B18C no spark
I'm using the OBD2 harness and ECU. I blew out all the connectors, and am using a OBD2 to OBD1 jumper. Anyone know if the crank sensor could be the problem? How to check?

the 95 engine should not have a crank chaft possition sensor you will need to use the odb1 distributor as well as obd1 ecu

There you have it. How did you blow out your connectors? I'd say get a new engine harness and or dash as well. Check your spark plugs/wires/fuses/relay.

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 JDM B18C no spark
how would the ckp sensor not affect it? the ecu in an obd2 vehicle uses ckp and cam position to figure what cylinder should fire next. if the ckp signal is not being read by the computer it wont fire! hints no spark. so what i might be wrong but atleast im giving logical insight (instead of telling him to BLOW out connector and whatnot) providing that i am not personally looking at the car. seriously the car is not an original nintendo that you have to blow on the game cartrige to make it work.

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 JDM B18C no spark
just because a sensor sets a code doesnt always mean the sensor is bad. if you have access to all data and do a search for crank but no start the first thing and most of the items brought up are CKP sensor. but most of the time you have to be connected to an AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP to access this kind of info. like i said its a very good possibility. have you checked all fuses and relays (not visually) use a fluke meter and proper diag proceures go to your local library, go to the ref. section, find the manual for your car, look up the wiring diagrams(copy them), and then find the diag procedure for no spark or crank but no start and copy that so now you will have all the info you need to figur out the problem. if possible get all that info for the year of the engine and the car. alldata diag by symptom for 95 teg engine will not start_ incorrect ignition timing, faulty coil, faulty ignitor, faulty plugs attached are 2 diagrams for a 98 integra ignition system hope this i somewhat helpful

yeah the ckp doesn't affect the car it should start OK and drive fine I know even on sohc motors.
anyway, how are you checking for spark?
are you using an inline kv probe?
here is a diagram go with an volt meter and check
