looking for a used engine for my 96 gsr

my 96 gsr is start to consume oil at a scary rate so i need a new engine. what price am i looking at for just the long engine block? wheres a good source?

www.hmotorsonline.com would be my vote. also unless you're using over 1qt per 500 miles it will probably still go for awhile.

shitty thing about buying a used motor is that your "new" one might burn oil faster than your current one. i'd rather rebuild the original motor than risk buying another trashed one.

i go through a quart of oil every other week.

lol you're consuming oil so you need a new engine?
Why don't you rebuild the bottom and replace the valve seals, cheaper and you know what you're getting..
