Re: GS-R Hatch Vs. Sedan? (hondacuraLs)
2000 GS-R hatch: 2672 lbs
2000 GS-R sedan: 2764 lbs
Not too much for extra doors if you need them. As far as how much faster is the hatch than the sedan, by rough estimate at those weights, the hatch is about 0.09s faster in the 1/4. Rough estimate of course. Get the 4door if you want it, I wouldn't let 90lbs stand in your way.

Re: (Shipwreck'D)
It's probably not a huge difference. Id rather have the convenience of having my 4 doors (I drive my friends around) Than saving 80lbs and not having my extra doors. 80lbs isn't going to make that much of a difference anyway. Most people aren't going to use their teg in a pro race application manner anyway.

Little closer to 100lbs in weight difference,
the hatch will always be quicker with same power ranges, and driver skill.

Re: (b20acura)
speed wise, its all on the driver's....whoever gets the better launch and hits vtec first is gonna pull, if both get good launches, it should be a really close race, just like 2 2door gsrs racing....considering both are in fair condition....

Re: GS-R Hatch Vs. Sedan? (Shipwreck'D)
I have had both. I currently have a 98 4 door and will never buy a 2dr again. Nothing against them at all. Its just a hell of alot more convienent(sp?)
If you dont ever plan on driving other people around, get the 2dr. I dont think anyone likes to ride in the back of a 2dr.
Just go test drive a few and see what you like.

Re: GS-R Hatch Vs. Sedan? (SphiNX912)
i like 4 door, reason on because 4 door gsr is rarer then a 2 door gsr, think about it. if you want something people that usualy dont have, then go with 4 door, if you want something that most people have then go with 2 door, or you can try driving both car adn see what you like best. my .02

a basic rule of thumb is that 100 pounds equals about 1/10 of a second slower on the 1/4 so it really wont be too much. just practice your driving and you could easily beat someone in a hatch.
