Doesn't seem worth it. There isn't anything too bad about them. 350bucks is close to a good racing seat if you want different seat belts

I wouldn't do it, unless you got a JDM armrest you've been wanting to install.

to get 4 or 5 point harness, you need the bar in the back right? plus racing seats... does the bar in the back basically take up the backseat space? cause im gonna be driving my drunk friends around everywhere -_-

Yes. Either a harness bar (bad idea in general*) or a rollbar with a built in harness bar results in a rear seat unsafe and unfit for people.

* Harness bar, race harness, and a fixed back seat is generally considered unsafe since you lack roll over protection. With a stock seat, the recline mechanism will break, allowing the seat to fall back if the roof collapses. With a race seat, you neck is the failure point if the roof crushes.

so to have a backseat fit for people, stock seats/seatbelts are the only option?

Pretty much the only safe option.

Though, cars with the sliding power belts can convert over to the fixed location belts. I think the only issue with doing so is that some drilling and reinforcing of the base of the B pillar is required to correctly mount the auto-tensioner.

Never bothered to explore that option much, as I got the dealer to replace the belts, rails, and motors for the power belts in my 91 LS under warranty last year. Since they worked good as new afterwards, I really had no reason to consider a costly swap.
