Just thought you guys would want to see my B18C block, just finished from the machine shop. I got the new Darton MID sleeves installed.

This was the block before the machine work...

And I just got my Tial products in finally after a 2 month wait. And they didn't even come with the right springs....LOL

Is that block painted, or did they just really clean it up alot?
I hear hot-tanking aluminum blocks is detrimental.. no?

If you really want/need a tial 44mm wastegate check out roadraceengineering.com... They got a bunch in stock and have good customer service. Don't mean to advertise, but I got mine from their for a good price w/ no hassle.

Thanks guys for all the input.
The block was tanked. I never heard anything bad about that process. Afterwards, the block was sand or glass blasted to clean it right up and get that aluminum look back. I'm going to be painting the block and head also so in the end it will be gunmetal with a clear over it.
I already have the wastegate and blow off valve, but thanks anyway.

NO NO...no way.
Cesar @ Mississauga Engines did all the work. He's the one that has been working on Serge Lisboa's setups since day one. I trust Cesar...I've heard many horror stories about sleeves and other shops...but really it can happen to anyone.
Mississauga hasn't had one sleeve drop yet.
