VTEC pressure switch wire(s?)
I'm almost done with my Si -> JDM VTEC swap and I'm using my H23 harness. (From the H22 harness) I have the wire and plug for the VTEC solenoid (green/yellow), the only problem is I can't find the plug for the VTEC pressure switch. Is there one or two wires coming from the plug, and what color(s). A picture would be nice.
Thank you.
Thank you.
The pressure switch connector has two pins and the wire colours are BLACK and BLUE/BLACK.
There should be approx 10-12v between the BLUE/BLACK wire and system ground when the ignition is turned ON.
The BLACK wire goes to the ECU.
When sufficient oil pressure is present, the ECU should see 10-12v on the BLACK wire.
Hope this helps.

no. If you have a 93+ you're car was wired for VTEC. It'll be right near the fire wall at the end of one of the harness connectors. It's plugged, so you have to splice it, just look for a baby blue wire. As for the black one, just ground it anywhere as long as it's secure and grounded you're fine.
