Man i want to see this too, and i want to see it on a motor not like this one:

Also on a Throttle body MAP sensor not a firewall sensor, thanks.

Yes, pictures on the actual engine would help me out the most
btw, im using a rc throttle body, so if someone out there has a pic with a similiar setup that would be great.
thanks

wow i forgot about this thread. I was going to say how i did my check valve but forgot where the thread went.... lol. Anyway White GSR you see how it shows the hose on that picture, well you have to have 3/16th hose and T's or check valves that size as well. And what you do is you just pull the map sensor off and push one of the fittings in the hole where the map sensor went, then you put the other end of the hose in the map sensor, ill try to get a digi camera to get you a pic.
Why use a pile of hoses and valves when you can get a missing link cheaply which looks and works better? I got a silver one for sale for $35 shipped...
really, where did you get that at?
every one ive seen has been at least 40 bucks plus shipping

I got it from another forum. I haven't used it yet but it is in excellent condition and I got it from a seller I trust who has sold me other fine parts before too. I see them for $40 also but I sell cheaper to undercut others and sell my parts faster! If it bothers you to only pay $35 I can raise it for you!
Let me know if you're interested in it. I only decided not to use it becuase my wife said she'd buy me a Hondata for our anniversary this year! Woohoo!

There are always people selling missing links in the forced induction classifieds on this site. Just keep an eye out...
Check Valves
Missing Link
They both do the same job..missing link is a cleaner setup..pick your poison
So, do you leave the missing link unplugged from the throttle body when you do check valves? I am trying to do it on a 98 Honda Civic EX.

no...i think your getting a little confused. With your stock NA motor. You have no missing link or check valves. When you are boosted, you do one or the other to trick your map sensor from seeing boost. You have the option of installing a missing link, or the option of installing check valves. Not both.

or you can run uberdata. it doesnt let the map see past 11.3 lbs of boost. so the map sensor will never notices boost. so u can run 15 psi with uberdata and still not throw a check light. so all in all if u run uberdata it wont throw a check light. looks cleaner than check valves and the missing link
this is how the missing link should be installed

AND heres my homemade hybrid using my original firewall mounted MAP sensor & missing link, you may be askin yourself so what . Well I say missing link was designed to install on the throttle bodies where the MAP sensor is mounted directly to it. (pictured above)
How I did it: I used some backstraps, screws, two nuts(haha) and some vacuum line threaded thru the nuts and the nuts are rtv'd to the ends of the missing link. I was desperate @ 2 am after finally finishing my ghetto downpipe
btw heres the homemade downpipe

I really wanted to drive it that nite, the missing link still holds

that is the wrong way to setup you check valves. If you look at the path of where the air travels. it goes Directly to the map sensor, you are not Ting it correctly.
