I parked my R in the local mall parking structure today... It was parked on the top floor, in bright sunlight, in a lot patrolled by both car and bicycle "rent-a-cops". I was in the mall for less than 10 minutes. Upon returning to my vehicle, there was a slim-jim wedged down into the drivers side door!

I called the local police, and when they arrived, the officer was a complete a$$ hole. He says "There's nothing I can do." And leaves!

It took me allmost 10 minutes to remove the slim-jim stuck down inside my door (maybe the reason the car was still there).

Cliff-Notes=Went to mall, came back to car, slim-jim stuck in door. Called cops, Cops suck...Wont do anything..Left.

Watch out for your R's!

 

What a bunk of idiots....I would be talking to the security at the Plaza...glad that your car is alright.

Did you request them to take the slim-jim into evidence and request that they finger print it...

Yeah, I know we all love our cars and catch the perps who wish them harm but I doubt the CSI team will arrive and spray luminol in your car, take the slim jim to forensics lab, dust for prints, search for fibers and what have you. It aint gonna happen.

 

all you need to dust for fingerprints is magnetic powder and scotch tape, 5 minute on-site job...luminol is for blood

lets say you have a concealed weapon permit and just simply carry a hefty knife with you for protection (i know its illegal) and you run into a *** trying to jack your shieeet.. so you threaten him with a gun and tell him not to move as you approach him... then you hit him with the pistol in the back of his head and knock his *** out.. then call cops.. will you go to jail for that?

Threating is something called "assault", not to mention with a weapon involved you may get you brandishing charges too. When you hit them with the pistol you will most likely get charge with battery or assault with a deadly weapon. Or all of the above. You don't want that kind of trouble.

I the old days in the wild west you could get away with that. Now adays you you can get in big trouble!

Don't get me wrong I'm saying that the scum bag theives don't deserve what they get, just try to keep it in perspective.

damn that sucks.. i think we "all" should have a right to beat someone up that is trying to take something that doesnt belong to me.

My honest opinion and i really feel stronly about this, if it were legal to kill someone like it is if they break into your own house, i wouldnt think twice about shooting someone close range if i saw him trying to slim jim my door/window.
Walk up to him and cap him or even chase him if i have to.. i work too damn hard to make someonething outta my car and i dont anyone deserves to touch it.. fugg all the haters.. i'd put up a damn fight even if it means me going to jail.

 

well if you're ever in that situation just cap him and say you swear it looked like he was going for a gun, or take their drivers license or id outa their wallet and send them on their way and let em know that if you car is ever messed with again that you'll have their family killed I think that'd outa work

Well the cop couldnt have done anything, because they didnt get into your car. Even if they took the prints, they couldn't prosecute because they didnt actually break the law (yet). Be happy the person was an idiot you still have your car. Not all cops are bad, just some. Though he could have been a little more helpful however.

There is a big difference between someone breaking into your house, and breaking into your car. In your house, that is where you live, and your life could be in jeopardy (sp?). Your car is just a material item. It can always be replaced. You had no direct physical harm that could of happened from them stealing your car. Unless of course it was a car jacking. That is a different situation all together. Go ahead and shoot someone stealing your car, and you will be charged with second degree murder and probably spend most of the rest of your life in jail. Its up to you.

 

yeah i know that.. the LAW in this country sucks! i own my car since i paid for it, therefore it makes it my propery.. i know its on a materialist thing, but still its rightfully mine not the banks or the dealers.. anyone that attempts to steal it should be shot! its quite simple, dont touch other peoples **** cause it aint yours. If they would impose a law such as this, thiefs be outta business.. but then again everyone be strapped then and that isnt such a good idea either..
one thing i know.. if i were to catch someone trying to hurt my investment, i'm certain on one thing, i aint for sure gonna just watch it unfold...
