Default Sandwich Oil Adapter safe?

i've just purchased an Oil pressure gauge and was going to just use the "Brass T-fitting" method...but I read a thread that brought up the greddy sandwich adapter (http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Civic/MODAOICO/) are these safe to have on the back of the block? I read that they are made aluminum so they seem light enough? would these be heavy enough to cause any damage/cracks to the block? Thanks for all the help in advance

My experience says yes -safe. I've had a B&M oil cooler with spin on adapter and before that ran a sandwich plate. Never had a problem with either one.
