i remmeber a friend telling me he had a short shifter once and it was to short and it would keep poping out of 5th gear, so you might want to check that.

I just rebuilt my H22. I put all kinds of goodies in it, but neglected to put a little something called transmission fluid in(I thought one of my buddies had done it). Anyway, when I shifted into fifth gear, it would pop out a few seconds after I shifted in. Long story short, you might want to check your transmission fluid. After I filled it up, it stopped, and drove like a champ.

I'm not trying to post ***** but damn, maybe next time when you have an "emergency" you could have the courtesy to title your thread in a more searchable name.

Anyway. Yes check tranny fluid and take off that short shifter. Try either one or just both.

i'd guess either syncros or counter shaft bearing has moved out of the case.
