Problem shifting
When I am either shifting into 1st or 2nd sometimes it does not want to engage into that gear. When I move the shifter into the slot and push up there is resistance or it does not go in at all. It is really frusterating when this happpens. Most of the time it does not happen, but every now and then it does. And yes I am putting in the clutch. Someone help! This is really getting to me.

Re: Problem shifting (Bond)
1st gear will have a lot of resistance if your car is rolling, but as the car starts slowing down to around 5mph or something the shifter will go into gear easily. Don't force it in there when there's a lot of resistance though. My 2nd gear only has a moderate amount of resistance when I redline 1st gear and shift. Not sure why.

Re: Problem shifting (chowmien)
This problem also occurs when I am not moving aswell. Say for instance I am parked and try to put in first gear, sometime it just does not want to engage. I dont know why. Any other help would be great.

Re: Problem shifting (Bond)
In my opinion i would have to say its the gear syncs. some one has obviously been leaving there hand on the shifter while it is on gear. When the car is moving and the shifter is moved around it wears the gear syncs out. This is usually caused by a driver who leaves there hand on the shifter and over a period of time the little movment will wear it out.

Yeah, that is what I thought. But it wasn't me. I just bought my 92 DX, and noticed it right away. Can I fix this my self or would it be cheaper to just swap it? Anybody else that might know what this is, please help.
