Skunk2 Coilovers/Tokico Illumina or Skunk2 Coilovers/KYB AGX
I need so feedback. I have the Skunk2 coilovers but I am stuck figuring out which shocks are the best. I am looking for a stiff ride that handles and is not to rough.

i have the illuminas they are good but still kinda bouncy with the teg spring rates but they really are about the same kybs just have less adjustment ive also heard bilstein has great shocks that are valved for the higher spring rates of coilovers although they are not adjustable but adjusting does turn into a pain in the as* just my opinion though but anything you choose will help you out

I *HEARD* that kyb agx's are no good below 2" ... Mine is at least 3" so I guess that's ruled out ...
P.S. I got Skunk2's also and I too am in the market for shocks (or full threaded coilovers )

I have the kyb agx's on my 2k SiR. I think they're great. Have them with coilovers with 450/350 springs front/back... ride quality is too stiff for reasonable daily driving and gets annoying over anything but smooth roads. There is a huge diff in ride between stiff and soft settings but to control the coilovers I need to stiffen the shocks and then ride qualty gets questionable.
I wouldn't recommend really stiff springs for anything but a weekend car or track car. Stay with spring rates that don't go too much over 300lbs on either end. I'm swapping my coilovers next spring for some good progressive rate springs (eibach sportlines) which are much more tolerable for daily driving yet still give a nice drop. The shocks themselves are great but make sure you match them with springs you can live with.

Would Skunk2 coilover be good with Koni Yellow shocks if you have the money whats the best bang for buck?? Thanks. Keep in mind this is daily driven. So I need it to be smooth and handles good. This is all on a 01 GSR.

If it is between the Illuminas and the KYB's, I would say the KYB's.
But if you want other options, look at the shocks from Billstein that have a shortened rod, or look at the Koni Yellows. Shortened rod is a MUST for dropping it really low.
