every dragkit that has a tial wategate that I have seen hits the hood. It desnt hit it by much so it hsould be fine. It hits underneath the hood where those support tingys are. itll just dent it and wont put a dent on the outsided of the hood......I know what im taking about its just not coming out right.
buy the 90 elbow from Ben and you supposedly won't have to worry about it... If your running a closed system, you'll have to reroute the dump tube... so I understand...
My Tial wastegate DID dent my hood so that it was visually noticable from the outside.
I would recommend either filing down a small portion off of the top of the air valve fitting (or dont install the top valve at all if you are not running a boost controller and plan on letting the Tial regulate your boost) or getting the 90 degree elbow that was mentioned.

I plan on getting the closed loop downpipe from arturbo... Is it possible to use the 90 degree elbow solution with this downpipe??
If you're going turbo its going to be illegal anyhow so you might as well run as open loop and have your dump tube routed to the bottom of your car so the gases dont expell in your engine bay.
I don't see why not. The pics I've seen of Arturo's closed loop downpipe seem to creat an extension from the Tial wastegate dumptube to the downpipe and doesn't seem to relocate anything in any way. Which means that it should not effect your wastegate and its fittings. The onlly thing that I can think that "may" be of some consideration is if you plan on running alot of boost with the closed loop system, then you may want to get a boost controller to make sure that you don't get any boost spikes, but if you have a very free flowing exhaust (i.e. 3") then I wouldn't worry about it. I would just get a new 90 degree elbow fitting for the top of the wastegate.

hey ill, try taking the little brass fitting off of the deltagate. and stigking it on top of the tial. thats how my friends is set up, and ill probably do it as soon as my carbon hood gets here.
BTW......i have a big ugly tial nipple on my hood.....it most certainly WILL hit

Well, look at it this way.... Some people buy fake intercoolers to put on their cars to make people think that they have a turbo under the hood. If you see a nipple on the top of someones hood, you KNOW that they have a turbo under it.
Luckly my paint did not crack. Sorry to hear about that dragonsmp. I'm thinking of using this as a good excuse to get a carbon fiber hood, but damn they are expensive.
