ok now I need double the sympathy
So if any of you saw my other post about putting a hole in my oil pan (the huge pics I know) well I found an even bigger problem. Here is the previous post https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=726928
I noticed the car handling a little funny thought I might have messed up some suspension with it.
Well as it turns out I broke the drivers side motor mount. I couldn't tell initially because nothing looked any different and I didn't drive the car until the pan was already fixed of course. But driving it down the road on a test drive and hit a pot hole and something felt very very wrong.
I look under my car and the motor seems to be sitting lower than normal. I was thinking uh oh at this point and looked under the hood and noticed the drivers side of the motor was sitting almost 4" lower than it should be, big uh oh. So I drive it home really carefully and park it.
Haven't had a chance to dig into it until today so send me some sympathy as I get to pull my motor out and see what I can do with the broken motor mount. By the way it looks like it broke on the block not the mount itself so will probably be taking it to our friends machine shop (they run an NHRA dragster by the way, so if your watching drag racing and see the name Strasburg thats them) anyway probably going to get them to weld the block, re-drill and tap some motor mount holes and put it all back in. Huge pain in the ***!!
Stupid snow

Re: (B18bEK)
Well it looks like I might have lucked out. It looks like all it did was pull the threads out of the block so we should be able to retap them a size bigger and get some nice new fresh threads Only problem is it also broke the mount in the wheel well that hooks to the A/C bracket and the bracket, and of course the wrecking yard is closed until monday so I am stuck till then but at least I don't have to pull the motor
I am taking pics of it so I will post those later (and smaller this time)

Re: (UtahRockabilly)
ok so here are the pics as promised.
A few pics of the engine bay notice how low the oil pan is to the floor and how far the drivers side of the motor is sitting from the top.
And here are the offending pieces. The A/C mount is first notice how the lower motor mount in the wheel well is totally broken out. The pic below that is of the mount itself all bent and broken. The last pic is of the holes in the block luckily not hurt more than just pulled threads.
The last step is retapping the holes and put it all back together. Unfortunately I will have to wait till monday for a new A/C mount but oh well at least I didn't have to pull the motor.
