Default ecu question about socketing

what IC socket do i need to socket my 5 speed p28 ecu (22 or 28 pins)? also if i jsut want to socket and chip my 5 speed p28 ecu do i need to get a different resistor?

you need 2 .1uf capasitors one 1k resistor one 28 pin socket and a 74hc373 ic. you can get it all at radio shack

where do i place the 2 .1uf capasitors and one 1k resistor?

1-1.2k resistor at r54
and then connect j1 with just a spare piece of wire, cutting this later returns ecu to stock prog

open up your ECU... it's all outlined in white, and the spots are marked.

or check out ECUcontrol.com. he has a writeup on how to do it.

correct i'm going to do it next week. Learn it from http://www.nitroburn.com/pgmfiwiki/ and http://www.ecucontrol.com/ also downloaded the bin files for obd1. So i'm ready
