***Okay Let's Cut Down on the Repeated Qs about Certain Swaps - Post Links HERE***
Like the topic states.
Let's compile some good links to the most common topics, such as H22A swaps into 1992-2000 Civics, 1996-2000 Civic wiring, swap info, and pretty much any B series swap into any certain chassis you can think of.
If you have good info on any other swaps too, like H22a into Accord, etc. please post whatever links you have that are good sources of info.
Thanks.
EDIT: 4/7/08 by builthatch - if you have a link for submission, or general info related to this subject, OR see a dead link, please PM a mod of the hybrid forum, like me, toyomatt84, chad, etc.

Ok, I'll write about the part how the H22A swap is "sooo much better" and "faster" than a B18C5 swap
I added some input into the other H22 thread that's been started up. Heh, for me it's easier to answer specific questions when somebody gets stuck on a particular swap or project, or what parts to use, rather than start from scratch on what needs to be done .

Here's my experience with a b18c into an EG : https://honda-tech.com/zero...91766
Depending on what OBD you go with and the trim model of your civic i.e. SI, ex, dx, cx. You may have to wire (4) wires into the car harness: Vtec solenoid- if you car was produced after 92 and does not have a Vtec motor, pressure switch, IAB, knock sensor- unless of course you get a programmed ecu that does away with the knock sensor. If you have any problems, ask Villian, poison, tom- there's lots of good tech guys here!

Re: (Infamous_Imports)
Come on bro - you want help but can't help yourself???
I typed "b16 into eg" into the search and it comes back to me with "into, eg; Too common and too short"
This should have been your first flag to try something different in the search box. Additionally, on the very first page of this thread are several links that will get you underway.
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...p.php
Whats wrong with this link? Lemme guess, it says "B18C" and not B16?

your kidding me right?
a few posts up shows you what motor mounts you need for your civic
then a if you read through the pages...it will give you the C-speed article on swaping in a B series into a civic...you dont need conversion harness...b18c1 should be odb1 and you have odb1 ex with vtec harness....should plug right up...if using a p28 chipped ECU.(guessin you have a p28 cause of your ex), then you wont need to add knock sensor

Motor Mount Mayhem!!! (For EK, B swap)
I've posted this elsewhere but I figured it might help here on the swap pages.
Here's what I've learned in the prep for putting my B16B (same dimensions as B18C5) into my 98 civic ex coupe.
I've used many resorces and here's a great place to look at the mounts (and purchase) http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com
Look at the mounts for an EK ( I used a 98 civic EX coupe) and compare them to a 99 civic SI.
The upper driver side mount (23186) and upper tranny mount (23189) are the same. Down to the Honda dealeship part # (I have if you need, just ask)
For a B series swap into 96-00 civic you will need the rear mount, front tranny mount, and AC bracket from 99-00 SI or 96-97 Del sol W/B16,
Part #'s from a civic SI, Prices & product # from above mentioned site
Rear Mount (honda part # 50827-S04-N10) product # 23225 $36.59
Front tranny (H.P # 50843-S04-N10) product # 23228 $52.07
AC Bracket (H.P. # 38930-P30-000) product # 23223 $105.00
The stock torque mounts and rear rubber/chassis on your EK are kept and used (numbers in picture on hondaautomotiveparts are: 2,8,9 & 3) . I was told the civic SI mounts look very similar but would not work/mount correctly. I was under the impression that #3 might be a problem as the part #'s are not the same and the Bolts that go through them are different lengts, (D = 101mm, B = 97mm) makes me wonder if the rear mount that attaches to the rubber at this point of the chassis is 4mm narrower than the D series mount, But I've been told to use the stock rubber. will find out soon.
You will also need a 12 X 67 mm bolt (23229) (H.P. # 90186-SL4-000) for attaching the rear mount to you motor because the stock D series mount is 14 X 107 mm.
Luckily my motor came with the AC bracket so I havent looked up anything on the bolts being used from you D series. I do know that allmost most of the other bolts will work. Just check out the pictures/part numbers and compare/contrast.

I'm sorry bud, but if you look two posts up, you will find tons of links to information that will help you. The swaps are all pretty much universal (as in a guide to a b16a will work for a b18a/b/c). The only differences are pretty much wiring and cutting if necessary.

Re: (civic_speed99)
I'm planning on getting a 99 ek and swapping the motor with a 95 b18b1 that's in my current 94 eg. So far the plug-n-play method is to get d-series obd1 alternator/dizzy and a b-series obd2 alternator/dizzy (since I don't really want to dick with rewiring...hard to find info). I'll also need an obd1 dx ecu for the eg and a conversion harness to use my obd1 p72 in the ek. I'll also get a civic/del sol b16 ac bracket for the 99 ek (finally...ac). I'm gonna use dsm injectors for the ek (for when I boost), but from what I gather you'll want to use the obd2 injectors for an obd1 b18 (ek's are 240cc's like the b18 anyways). Last thing to get is the 99-00 SI rear mount. Not really sure what mounts I'll need for a 99 d16 into a 94 eg, I'll cross that road when I get to it. The local swap guru is a great guy, he's always good about helping me and my bro.
The crappy thing about obd1 into an ek is that it's very uncommon, so the info isn't easy to find.
