97 JDM ITR/ECU. The CEL isn't on, but when checked I'm flashing a Code 20 (ELD). Can anyone fill me in on this a little? I pretty sure my 1100rpm idle is linked to this, but I've never heard of the Electronic Load Detector?! Help!!

 

Its under the engine compartment fuse box

 

ELD is what detects electrical load like when lights and accessories are turned on and draw more load from the alternator.........i believe there is a wire pinned to the ECU that receives this signal to idle the car up.

 

Its a common part to fail, several hondas have TSBs about it. Can be pricey too, often come as part of entire fusebox.

 

From a search it looks like the ecu pinout wire is green/red. I de-pinned this wire when I had AEM EMS from the underdash harness. Now all I have to do is figure out the correct location to push the pin back into!!

EDIT: Found the correct pinout....the code's gone and idle is back to normal!! Now I have to find something else to screw up!
