ok i made a post awhile back about my engine bogging and not making power.

i replaced the cap and rotor along with a new fuel pump. fuel pressure doesnt drop now. but it sounds like is miss fires and bogs even worse then before. any ideas for me guys?

 

check the ignitor/coil...

second that, bet is bad ignitor.
you still have your psi set at 75?

what will i be checking for to see if its bad? any tests?

 

and the psi is at 60. tried it form a range of 40-65, still no cigar

 

 

if you keep the psi at 60 get ready to buy a new fuel pump and injectors.....cant believe nobody told you to turn it down to STOCK.
most likely is your ignitor, try swapping it

 

i got a new fuel pump and think one of the injectors is bad. but how would i be able to tell if its the ingnitor or the injectors. i just spent 200$ on a new fuel pump, cap and rotor to fix the problem. im now tryin to follow the rules of bidget racing lol. any input would be thanked

well, the symptoms that you have are not of a bad injector.
cant you swap the ignitor out of one of your friends or some. to see if thats it?

 

If it's a bad injector, the plug on that cylinder should be a very different color than the rest. Probably the ignitor or coil though.

 

yeah i'de probaly say it's the ignitor or coil... you didn't wash your engine lately have you?

 

sorry been busy at work, but no the engine wont pull still thinking it might be the ECU. cause the car will run prime when its not warmed up. like if i let it sit for 5 mins then take it out and dont let it warm up to running temp. it runs good. but then it seems like once sumthing warms up thats where my problems come from. ignitor and coil appeared to be good. i could be wrong is there a test to do on them that i could try? i also tried replacing the O2 sensor and it still runs like ****

 

id check the distributor

 

thing is driving me crazy, car will never bog when its just started up and not warm, but as soon as it warms up it turns into bogging POS.
