Default pics of low budget junk yard setup on d16- FINALLY DONE - *update*

Finished today - car runs pretty good. On way home back from test drive, the oil presure gauge line "fell off" some how and we proceeded to dump about 3 qts of oil on the road - caught it in time. went home to get tools and fixed it. All seems to be well. Exhaust leaks here and there, but they'll be fixed.

YOU"RE gonna LOVE this car when your done...

I did the same thing... DSM T25 on a D15, HF manifold, plate adapter...

Running 10 psi.... so quiet....
used a wideband to set the FMU... simply amazing.

From the pics, looks like he's using a DSM SMIC. Good luck with the homemade setup. Looks good so far.

Don't feel bad, aluminized steel is ***** to weld, regardless of the welder or the equipment.
great job!

Any chance that is the RGAZ/GJC Randy and Gary adapter?? Sure looks like ours.

I hope you enjoy it, it should work good for a long time. Its an easy 10psi turbo kit for low bucks.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure. He got it off Ebay and I think it came from LA?

you should have seen him on his maiden voyage. He was all nervous, but once he got on it.... BIG SMILES. Although it turned to a frown again when we saw we had no oil pressure and dumped 3qts behind us. Other than that, the car drives pretty damn good. Seems to idle a little higher and some surging - not sure if it's related to the blue box or not. We did bypass the IAC, but that shouldn't effect anything once it's warmed up.

Thanks for the replies

Took her to the track last night. Jordan only did two runs. Keep in mind that this thing was running a 16.6 with the stock d16 - he got a 15 flat on his second run. Not record breaking, but impressive given how cheap we built this

it was way under a grand - don't have exact numbers, but we're running a t25 on a hf manifold with the adapter. DSM SMIC, Using a dsm bov and blue box for management. Haven't run the wideband across it yet, but it's running really well. Going to pull the plugs this weekend and have a look.

Hang in there with the welding.. I got a MIG setup and am learning how to handle leakfree welding.. although it's a challenge. Getting better.
