Need dyno number comparison on GSR-turbo at 11-12psi... (350whp/250ftlbs)
Anyone know what type of numbers have been made on a fully built GSR turbo with a T3/T4 at 11-12psi?
I tuned up a fully built GSR today with Hondata on 91 octane fuel an pulled:
At 12psi: Max Power= 355.0 whp
Max Torque= 254.3 ft-lbs
At 9psi: Max Power= 291.4 whp
Max Torque= 236.8 ft-lbs
No C-16 was available in time....so boost was not elevated, yet.

what compression and trim/spec turbo??ive seen 372whp@9psi..but that was with a sc61, full race manifold and 10.1cr on a built gsr tuned by jotech..but those are good #'s

check out other built gsr motors at importreview. com the best one of there is 287/220 at 12 psi, they have an ls motor that hit 672hp!!!!!!

The motor includes:
9:1 JE pistons with Darton sleeves
Greddy turbo (similar to a T3/60-1)
Full-race manifold
Skunk2 intake manifold
Greddy intercooler and plumbing
Ignition values are still on the conservative side (approx 7-10 more hp was available at +2 - +3 ignition on the high map). Not worth the cylinder head pressures...

nice numbers with that turbo. i suspect if you had like a t3/to4e you would have made around 350ish at 15 psi!
good numbers though. how is the lag with that turbo? whens full boost?

What type of dyno are you running on... Those numbers sound pretty good, we've made 365whp on 12lbs. with stock sleeves, 81.50mm JE 9.5:1 slugs, Eagle rods, Portflow head, Hondata, RevHard EX manifold, and a T3/T04E... That was on our Mustang dyno running 92 octane...

Jeff Evans (boosted hybrid) made very similar power in this post:

its crazy almost identical power at 11 with a very different intake manifold.
It seems to me that the turbo you are using is just starting to "wake up" whereas the turbo jeff was using already worke up at 5 psi. I say this becuase at 9 psi he made 319 while you were still under 3 by a little bit

Turbo isn't fully spooled until between 4000 and 4500rpm (it begins spooling up in the 3000's). All the runs were done on a DynoJet @ Davenport Racing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
...by what people are saying I guess 350 is respectable...not bad for 1 hr on the dyno
