Engine bearings. opinions on Clevite 77 and ITM???
I had Clevites in my motor before, they lasted well over 50,000 miles, raced for many of them too. They looked pretty good as far as wear. Probably could have gone a lot longer with them too. I haven't heard of ITM or Top Circle before. Depending on what you are doing, I would either go with ACL bearings, they are one size fits all and they work well. Clevites will work well too, but sometimes they need to be fitted to the motor. For rings, depending on the bore and the motor, I would use Honda or whatever manufacturer of pistons you use.
I've seen one set of used Clevites for a Honda and it looked pretty good.
Their main bearings sometimes have the tang in the wrong place though.
ACL's are trouble free for the most part.

I've used ITM's in a few low budget rebuilds and they work fine. ACL is by far the one to get if you want the best non oem brgs.

I bought a rebuild kit from importperformanceparts.net and the company is called top line. There's another member on here that rebuilt his engine with their kit and so far it's holding up fine for him. The kit is cheap so you might want to check that out as well. I didn't have to switch out any bearings, they all plastigauged perfect also
That's it... the rings were Top Line, not Top Circle.
Thanks for the replies. No one on the other boards seem to have a clue.
