What's the best value on head work, or what's the cheapest yet decent place to get your head worked on?

I know portflow is one of the best but can't afford one.
Bullfrog kindda died out, any opinion anyone?
and how are those jg heads? i heard some bad stories about them.

I just need a fun head to drive around, nothing extreme.

how about a stock port type r head. thats what i run and made over 550hp. I just have ferrea valvetrain.

 

werd....In a ***** out allmotor...definately want good headwork...but its less of a big deal with forced induction...unless your trying to make the maxiimum power on a certain boost setting.

i was just curious, i think i'm jus gonna retire my integra w/ the stock b20b w/ bolt on's. i'm just trying to plan out my next motor for my next car, and my friend is trying to go all motor in his sohc y8 motor. just asking around so i know what's good and what isn't.

 

try pyr-racing.com he has great heads...very reasonably priced.

also try head technologies in NY. the guys screenname on here is HEAD. i think they do the bullish racing solara's.

Thats what I was thinking but the others on the thread seemed to think that you are going turbo. IMO if you are going to be in the racing scene for a while I would recommend doing it rite the first time. Do not waste your time with a cheap port. Both Alaniz and portflow do outstanding work for N/A hondas. Good luck.
p.s.- I also heard that lucky max opened his own shop. I have been hearing nothing but good stuff from him lately.

 

you can try KG Precision Engineering in Huntington Beach. I had my GSR head ported by Kurt and im pretty happy with the results

 

try headgames in nj. dave there does heads for bullish racing and aslo sav from impo. he does good work.

I wouldn't go anywhere claiming to take 2lbs of material out of a port-seems a bit excessive I don't take 2lbs out of some big block chevy stuff and there is alot to take out compared to honda. but that's just my opionion.Some Advice: make sure you go to some one who has some cars out there running fast and has a good rep with there customers(alanez,portflow,headgames)you can't go wrong when you do, when you stray away from this alot of people get burned and pay to much for to little.Good Luck!

The only time I've ever heard of '2lbs of material' was with his ported Skunk2 Manifolds...I have one, and there's defiantely a good amount of of material removed...2lbs? I doubt it...There's no way he removed 2 lbs of material from any Honda Head though.

no I was referring to RLZ enginering's web site that was posted I was looking at there head packages and they claimed to remove 2lbs of material from there ports.

On turbo cars 35 hp @ the tires with that manifold vrs a stock skunk 2

Brad I hope you see were I was coming from when I said that, much respect to ya but it sounded crazy to me maybe I read it wrong though I thought it said a Honda intake port(head side). hey do you know Dan D'Anjue or Brad Moore I think both worked for roush.

 

There is this place down town where I live.... every night from about 1-3 am, u can get cheap head........ not the best...... but it is cheap.
