Curtis, Ed and I work have been working togther on this stuff, he does my valve jobs. So we tried a 55 degree seat last year on Sav Leone's car, we were thinking more on the lines of what RPM the motor sees not how much lift the cam has because a Pro Stocker sees about the same and this is where this VJ came from, and as you know this valve job would not do well until at least 650-700 lift so flow testing it would tell me what I already know, as we were saying before sometimes it doesn't flow good but it runs good, as this was the case because the car picked up a solid 1.5 mph! I wish I could remember how much power it picked up, and I am to lazy right now to call Sav. Problem was we couldn't get the VJ to stay sealed for more than a race, his guides were worn which could contribute to some of this problem.

problem was sav didnt want to have his guides which had at least .004-5 clearance replaced, so it beat his valve job away.the guides where so bad the valves would leave semi-circle marks is chamber where it hit because it wasn't moving straight up and down in guide but was deflecting badly.

Yup I hear ya
If I replace the guides I put seats in also
Thats on heads that have all ready had a VJ
These honda heads are picky about the seat height for good flow.

Somthing people dont realize look@the change of the throat dia
when going to Big valves

I Like the GSR its has a nice flat power curve
lots of tumble

Now asfar as the seats
dont use theCOPPER/BE
I use ti stuff with other seat materials and had very good luck with
mustangs making over 2200 hp
