Default Check Engine Light "ADAPTER" ! how to. . .

I thought about sharing this with you all to how to check your CEL's without looking for a piece of wire. It's simple to make and you can get it from any junkyard. You use the female end of the connecter from the bottom of the front driver seat. Under it is the connection for the seatbelt light on the dash. All you need then is a crimp cap and there oyu have it! A CEL adapter. . . here are some pic's for you so you know what it look for and how to make it. . .

do what i did..... run two wires permanently from that plug to a push button switch. whenever a CEL pops up, hold down that button. hopefully u will never have to use it, but if u do u can check it without bending over the seat or breaking ur neck. cool idea though.

awww is it to hard for you guys to plug a paper clip in?

just use a prebent paper clip in your glove box along witha print out of all the codes folded up with all your insurance papers

isnt there a way you can hook up a LCD (or similar to your clock) screen that will allow you so that when you get a code, you can just look at the screen and it will show you in digital numbers what the code is... just like the CRX and Hatch ECUs?

WOW! I like that Idea... I personally have a switch run into my glove box, but instead of tapping into the wires, i'd rather reach underneath my seat, cut that clip (Which is disconnected anyways), and move it over there, and crimp the switch wires to it...

THANKS!

isn't there a connector to jump under the hood? one time i saw a honda-tech working on my car, and he unplugged a rubber cap from this connector and jumped it, and checked my timing.
