Default D16Z6 dyno numbers

Well i finally dyno'ed my d16z6 powered dx hatch. Did 13 runs and the best tune we came up with is 165 whp and 142 wtq at 5 psi.

My mods are:

Greddy kit
Greddy fmic
Hks SSBOV
Sard adj fuel regulator
aem fuel rail w/gauge
aem cam gear
underdrive pulleys
msd 6al w/ blaster coil
Skunk2 exhaust

I think thats all.

Soon to come is arp headstuds, cometic gasket, 450's and hondata.

yes thanks for the correction, we had 176 whp at 7psi but it was leaning out bad so we went back to 5 psi and tuned it safe.

no, i mean, that's pretty impressive for a Z6 to make 165 whp at 5 psi. i didn't know 5 psi could make so much hp on a SOHC.

Good numbers, get some injectors or at least an inline and crank up the boost. I ran 10lbs on my z6 back in the day for ever withno fuel upgrades. besides those motors are cheap I have a couple laying around if anyone needs one.

Is the engine stock? Any problems at 13psi?

engine is stock but recently my car started misfiring, no CE lights. I'm sure the engine is good, something is wrong with the ignition i'm guessiing.

the engine ran great, i took it up to 8000rpm all the time. No valve tapping and good compression.

Nice numbers...espically on the Greddy Kit...what boost controller are you using and is it holding it without any spikes or boost creep??

What did you actually do...tuning wise since you dont have a adj A/F...did you just mess around with the Cam Gear or Fuel Regulator? Also whats the size of your piping on the Skunk2 Cat-Back?

We tuned the timing and cam timing. We raised the fuel pressure to 52 psi. I believe the exhaust pipe size is 2.5 I was able to do 13 runs and these are the nicest. I had one run at 175 whp and 155 wtq but i was detonating pretty bad.
