d16z6 greddy finally taken to the track
EDIT: i RAN A 14.0 consecutively at 5psi. belive it or not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok my friend just dynoed his 5th gen civic with a d16z6 motor in it. He has the greddy turbo kit with the 15g turbo and the type 31 front mount. He has 2.5 in exhaust all the way back from the turbo. He was running at about 6-7psi during the pulls. His max numbers were 133 whp and 129ft/lbs.
How does this compare to other peoples numbers?
We definetley were expecting way more out of his motor just becuase of the cars he beats. These past weeks he has run a lot of cars and has not lost. He raced an srt-4 and smoked it. A neon running a 14.xx, and raced an svt cobra and was neck and neck. Its wierd the cars he beat and we expected like 160-170 hp.

yea it was a mustang dyno. there was no a/f reading, but it is basically what the emangage comes pretuned at.

there are a lot of factors that can contribute to skewed numbers on the dyno. tire pressure, air temperature (not enough wind on the i/c), type of dyno....

Re: (superstud)
wow tell your friend to take off his kit and sell it asap, i'm calling all his wins BS also.. even if it was at 170whp with that kit in a civic you still couldn't beat a good driver in a SRT-4... nice try

Re: (ZiviCase)
I have so many people to verify the wins. It serioulsy boggles our minds when we think how his car always wins. now it is even worse when we found out those numbers. Plus, why the hell would i lie about **** like that. Its not even my car, plus i flagged the god damn race.

thats a fucked up dyno man,
no way hes putting down those numbers if he beat an srt-4,
6-7psi on a greddykit with a front mount should put out at least 150-160whp if not more..

Re: (Tad)
yah for real. those numbers are rather low. like he said it was a mustang dyno though... that may explain the lower reading

he beat the srt-4 and he was neck and neck with the svt cobra...i have driven this hatch and it pulls alot harder then 130hp , honestly i was shocked when he tole me becasue i thought that the numbers would have been closer to 160-170's....all i can say is that it had to be the dyno...drove are buddies 14psi gst the other night and this hatch still feels alot faster.......had to have been some freak incident on the dyno

Re: Dyno Numbers From Greddy Turbo d16z6!!!!! (Muckman)
These are also some of the witnesses of this wierd setup. He has beaten these cars and was neck and neck with the svt mustang. It makes no sense to me. Are the mustang dynos the ones that read a lower hp reading?

Re: (Cezilla)
numbers are definatly low I made 188 whp and 167 wtq with my greddy kit @ 8 psi using the greddy bluebox.
So if your beating the cars you say your beating it must have been some kind of dyno fluke or the engine has taken a dump since your last race.

if MUCKMAN was a witness then we should all know that this guy isn't lying . . . I say you check on your a/f ratio, compression test the car, and head to a place with a dyno jet and see if your #'s change.
It could be that your friend is putting down 233hp . . . . post up his exact setup that will help clear things up, and how much boost is he running?

A stock SRT-4 isn't very fast, sorry. I'd believe the above car at 7 psi, disregarding the dyno numbers which I suspect are junk due to dyno operator error, would run door to door with one.
Now, an SRT-4 with a little work done to it
