My D16z6 dyno numbers from 12/12/2003 at Modacar 250whp 251wtq
Well i finally got my car tuned right. Jason(st00pid here on h-t) came to town on vacation and tuned a few cars in Livermore at Modacar. I was planning on tuning for 1bar on a stock internaled motor, but things didnt go as planned. Well here's my setup:
1994 dx hatch with 150k
1995 d16z6 with 60k
Greddy kit with 20k
small greddy ic
Hks ssbov
Hondata s200 with boost and 3 step
rc 440 cc injectors
walbro 255
Sard fuel pressure riser set at 55psi
AEM fuel rail w/gauge
Msd 6al with blaster coil
Msd plug wires
Ngk 9 series plugs gapped at .026
Unorthodox underdrive pulleys
Act 6 puck with xtream pp.
Greddy Profec A (also for this dyno tuning i ran a turbo xs hp mbc as i was having spikeing issus with the profec a)
Greddy turbo timer
The rest of the motor is stock. My best numbers of the day were 250whp and 251wtq . This was at 10 psi. For some reason i had a spiking issue with the mbc also. It would spike to 12 psi at 5k then settle to 10 psi at 55k (I have since resolved the issue whith the ebc so it holds within 0.5 psi with no spikeing.) So we had to pull a huge amount(7 degrees) of timing out right there in that row, because it would ping for those 500 rpms. It actually messed with the dyno graph as you can see. All in all i am very happy with this setup. As soon as jason comes back we can tune that section back in and will be able to boost a few more psi.
Sorry for the bad image of the dyno, the scanner we used was old and this is the best we could get out of it.
EDIT: Disregard the af on the bottom as we tuned with an FJO unit. The probe on the dynojet get popping out the exhaust and gave some funky readings.

some how i fail to believe how you made 150whp over stock with a very small turbo I remember jason tuned another d16 vtec, that had a built block, 3" DP and exhaust and that car made 251@15psi, i just dont' understand how your making more hp with a small turbo @ 10psi than Every other dyno ive seen of d16's with t3/to4e @ the same boost...

Jason was pretty amazed with it also and dont forget this is on 91 octane as well. When he was tuning the low cam profile it made 167whp at 5psi.

I can't quite grasp how you could pull so much power from only 10psi on the same turbo that I only pulled 217whp from at the same psi.. tuned.

Well i dont know if this makes any difference but i made one run a few months back with the wastegate held open on a different tune at 0 psi we made 132 at the wheels. Here is a link to what my car made just running the blue box at 5 psi.

I can vouch for Toby's numbers. I scanned the pic this morning for him and have it right here next to me. It is a freak motor for sure. Good numbers man, the torque is what makes me go WHOA!!
Here is a close up scan of his numbers.

I can't either. Great Number nonetheless!!!!
I am also amazed you are using 9 series plugs. That is like having an Ice Cube trying to ignite the fuel! Why so cold?

Congrats again man. VERY nice #s!
...whenever I drive my car now, my motor says it's jealous of your motor
I'm getting my Profec B tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting some more power out of my setup because Jason had to keep things a little tame during my tuning (since the little ball valve MBC we borrowed was still spiking a little)

If he can pull that much out of only 10psi, I'm sure the 15G will hang tough through 14-15psi, say 290ish whp which is frikin nuts
