like i said in the im the best thing about this unit is how cheap it is. should do about the same as a hondata 2b but you can tune it your self if you have the software. which i understand now it is finally out to the public. you also dont need any special ecu's it is a piggy back unit.

it is a fuel management unit. you can lean or richen you fuel out 20%, install larger injectors. advance or retarted your timing. retard per pound of boost. just about anything you can do with a stand alone engine management you can do with this. just recently a guy on this forum said he can get the software for $140. when it first came out you had to buy the unit and bring it to a tuners shop that had to software to tune it.

so when you hook it up you can sit in your car with a laptop and change setting to your ecu.

so what your saying is the e-manage can do anything the hondata can for alot less money? HOw much does an e-manage run with the support tool, ingintion harness, injector harness, and boost harness?? Curious cause I am going to use hondata unless this is cheaper..

i did alot of research today and this thing is pretty tight. keep in mind thought you need to get all of the harnesses for all the functions.

Injector flow capacity can be modified (increased or decreased), and ignition timing can be changed (timing advanced or retarded) can be acheived by changing the MAP values displayed on the PC (16X16). At the same time, all data modified can be saved & protected. With changes to the injector & air flows, it can step up the cut off point of the boost limiter, and prevents stall by making changes to the throttle, etc.

Increasing injector flow function (Increasing injector flow )

It can changed the flow rate of the injectors by manipulating the main injector signal.
However, it cannot increase the injection ratio by 100% or more.

The MAP is displayed on the Personal omputer (PC) ( the MAP is displayed on the personal computer )
The MAP is displayed in 256 points (16 points of rotation axis X 16 points of axial load).
With a Greddy pressure sensor (sold separately), a potential air flow input replaced an original value.
V, kPa, and kg/cm 2 indications is read of mmHg.
In addition, it also shows the MAP trace function in real time.

Data protection function
By incorporating an user password, unauthorized access & changes to the data is prevented. Only the intended user and owner of the data programmed can re-write the data.

Air flow replacement function
When an air flow meter is replaced with a higher capcity unit, the output voltage changes, and this results in the ECU making a wrong reading on the volume of intake air.
By manipulating the air flow signal, it lets provides the accurate reading of air intake volume which correspond to the higher capacity air flow meter replaced.

Boost limiter - cut off function
When the air intake detected is above the stock setting, the ECU will stop the supply of fuel to the injectors (fuel cut), and this prevents running higher boost levels without blowing the engine.
It can over rides the boost limiter function by manipulating the air flow voltage (frequency) set at higher RPM, and thus prevents fuel cut.
* However, changes in air intake at the upper limit cannot be recognized by the ECU, it is recommended that stock injectors are replaced by higher flow injectors.

Engine stall prevention function
This fuction works with vehicles equipped with an air flow meter using the hot wire method. This feature is used to prevent unstable idling when inconsistent vacuum pulsation. This happens when high lift cams are installed. This function controls the air flow output RPM from the turbine, and stablizes idling.

Throttle revision function
Throttle opening is not only recognized by RPM, but can be controlled by air flow signal with relation to throttle opening. This is possible when the throttle is partially open of fulll opened.

Plus Ingntion timing control,VTEC control, and 2 additional injector control for 4 cyl, none for 6 cylinder.

But folks Guess what the datalogging sw is only in japanese
meaning the product is only sold in japan right now.It looked so good to!!

there is alot more info on the dsmtalk here http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showth...hlight=emanage

that is where i got this information.

that sounds like a hondata for a decent price

i think it has a basic just like VAFC, then if u add more functions and tools and toys, it will act like hondata standalone is it??

but when you tune it, do u need a dyno to do so??

i mean it sounds too easy to tune it youself, any ideas?

Hey covert have you learned anything new about the e-manage. Seems like the tools and all the optional harnesses are available and are cheap. Let me know...are you using one?
