Default Del Sol to Civic front end conversion.

First of all, I'd like to say that for the most part I really hate front end conversions. Honda made the car from the factory for a reason and most conversions just look odd. But in the case of the del sol, I think an EG front end looks pretty sweet. They share the same chassis and the lines wouldn't look out of place. I've really been considering doing one of these and If anyone has any info on what exactly needs to be done I would greatly appreciate.

Seriously... this has to of been the 15th thread about the same question you just asked. Do you guys just buy your honda's so you can f@ck them up with bullsh!t conversions such as these? Its not like you have a 96 coupe and are asking about the Si conversion. Christ, do a search next time... I know im supposed to provide you with a link when i say that, but im not. This is one of those loop holes.

Lol, I like the 95 civic front end conversions for the Sols, but I'll have to agree with Project. This has been posted a bajillion times.

However, since I'm bored at work, I'll give some basic tips. What basically needs to be done is simple I believe. Get the civic headlights, corners, front bumper, hood, and fenders. Then, at the most fitting point, you need to weld the rear part of the Sol front fenders to the front part of the civic fenders. Aside from that, it should be fairly straightforward, unless I'm forgetting that you need civic bumper support. Not sure though. Search, and you'll find more answers, GL

Honestly, the 5G front on a del Sol makes better sense to me. It changes the car's appearance much more than the '99-'00 front does. And more importantly, it's not as much of a band wagon deal. Almost every young kid I hear about with a '96-'98 Civic wants to know what they can do to make their front end look like the "Si front" (this is of course once they realize they're different).

There are a lot of threads on this though. Most of them have a couple of photos, though the same photos are mostly posted over and over again.

And the opposite... del Sol front on a 5th gen.
