Default del sol eg front end conversion

couple questions here. I just bought a 93 del slo, and i want to do a front end conversion on it. I want it to look similiar to this when i'm done. does anyone know how hard this is. I've searched for a how to but all i ever find is other people asking questions about it. does anyone have a link on how to do this?

its custom fabrication.
it isn't simply bolting it on, thats why there's no walk through.

There's plenty of threads about how to put an ek front end on a del sol, it's the same concept.

didn't say anything is wrong with it. I just don't personally like it. I like the sleek kind of sleeper look the egs have. i was thinkin, what would a no top eg look like, so i thought about driving under a low bridge real fast to take the top off my car, but that seemed like a bad idea, this is just something i really want to do. i think the one in the picture looks amazing and that is what i really want mine to loo like. except mine will be cooler with the mugen lip style.

Buy a core support for it then have a professionl cut the spot welds to remove the delsol core support and weld on the new one. dont forget the hood fenders light EXt. its not easy buy anymeans but with a little time and some money you'll get it right.

yea, my mom's boyfriend actually has done body work on cars for 24 years now so he is pretty damn good at it and knows what he is doing. he told me it'd be pretty easy, just wanted to look up some stuff ahead of time.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mike03,95civic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">IMO del sols are ugly but with the conversion it looks better.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i think the del sol body is awesome but i agree on the front end, just not my style, but i love that silver one, think i'm gonna paint mine blue when i'm done, thanks for the help guys. still, if anyone finds a thread on how to do this by someone else that has already done it, please send me a link.

yea, that wouldnt be a good idea at all ( low bridge...car... that would be bad). i like the way it looks also. you should take it to a body shop and see what they can do and then post pics and a write up

You'll need fenders from both the civic and the del sol. To retain the body line of the del sol, use the lower portion of the del sol fender and weld it to the civic fender. So you'll basically have the top half or more of the civic fender combined with the lower section of the del sol fender. That's most of the work right there.

Changing the core support, bumper, headlights, and hood are cake to swap comparitively.

Definitely get a build thread up. I'd love to see more pics of it done. Should be pretty clean.

Although I do love the del Sol fronts anyway...

i really hate the del sol body lines but the eg front is a good way to make it look cleaner hmm maybe toss in some eg tails?... i havent done this before but i assume you will need the following

eg fenders
eg hood
eg bumper
eg rad support
del sol fenders
along with headlights etc

youll most likely have to hack up both sets of fenders in order to get them to mount correctly with the door and with the hood/bumper...my buddy did an integra front on an eg and thats what was needed, but gl and if you do it make a build thread for it!
