Default Vitara pistons with Eagle rods for D16Y8. Does the block need notching?

Found some that did it anyways but I read one that said no need to notch if using Eagle Rods. Any inputs from anyone with this set up?

you need to notch the block for them to clear.

Why dont you put your entire rotating assembly(pistons, rods, crank) in without notching the block first, leave the oil pan off, and turn the crank while watching your rods move. After doing this, then you tell us if you need to notch it first.
