Vitara pistons with Eagle rods for D16Y8. Does the block need notching?
Found some that did it anyways but I read one that said no need to notch if using Eagle Rods. Any inputs from anyone with this set up?
Why dont you put your entire rotating assembly(pistons, rods, crank) in without notching the block first, leave the oil pan off, and turn the crank while watching your rods move. After doing this, then you tell us if you need to notch it first.
yes. i think you have to notch them on any now oe rod. i may be wrong but ls rods need to be notched.
