Just got the car and for some reason sometimes when you push the power door lock button the passenger side door doesnt lock. Also when attempting to unlock/open the hatch the passenger side door lock makes an erratic noise like its trying to unlock several times. Just wondering if this is a common problem on integras and if so how i would go about fixing it.

 

I just started to have exactly same problem on my R starting last week. i wonder how much a steelership would charge to fix??

this happen to my locks when i first got my car. i took off the pannel and you'll be able to see a metal bar. i just shook it loose and put some wd-40 on it and it worked again. team integra has a write up on how to remove a door pannel, it was a quick job and now my locks work fine

 

whats this metal bar you are talking about. Also where did you specifically apply the lubrication??

 

when you take off your door pannel you will see it, only metal bar connecting to your locks, and i sprayed it right where the lock and bar meet

 

im definately gonna have to try that with my 94 ls, because ive had the same problem for a couple months now, and its really starting to bug me

i had this problem on my first integra as well i just never addressed it. i'll have to try that wd-40 trick. Looks like this is pretty common with integras

 

yeah its a common problem. i brought it to a shop and fixed it for 40 bucks. he said the gears on for the lock are stripped therefore it always tries to unlock but all it does is make that weird clicking sound

 

i had a problem with my driver side not wanting to lock so i switched out the entire assembly...not fun. avoid it at all costs

 

hrm passenger sides does the same thing, but when the car gets warm and has been driven for a while it, then it works fine.
