If you boost spike, how can you tell if you messed up your motor?
I knew it.....my homemade MBC.....dammit. 
The years of ghetto engineering finally got me. I spiked pretty bad....near 30psi.
How can I tell if I screwed anything up? The car drives fine. I have forged internals, no aftermarket sleeves, and a blockguard.

Alrighty. Thanks a lot for the quick replies. I was getting paranoid. My car hesistates, but I think it always did that.
I will now invest in a real boost controller. Know of any around $200? I'm broke.

Hehe, it's all good guys. I didn't feel any crazy power increase. As soon as I saw that gauge fly up, I got off the gas real quick.
It is definitely time to invest in some good turbo parts now.

My low-buck mbc didn't work that well either. It would spike when the spring was cold, and old less and less boost as it warmed up.

damn dude that sucks.. but if the car feels/drives normal, isnt blowing smoke, and has good compression I think u r fine.. just keep an eye out for anything unusual but i think youll be fine.
