Default cold air setup with turbo?

has anyone ever tried to relocate their intake filter to a cold air setup? if i'm not mistaken, wouldn't this help out at least a little bit?

its really not much of an increase. The ebst bet is to run a ram air induction system at the track and keep the filter some what pointed in a cool air location.

I had mine located in the fenderwell only because that was the easiest way to make the piping at the time. I wouldnt put to much effort into it though.

werd!!! ssblue we are in the same boat. Nothing like a black car running a turbo in 90+degree texas heat. my underhood temperatures are horrible. I have to figure out someway of ducting or spraying something to get it few degrees cooler. Anybody got suggestions?

if you have an IC you should be alright. there isnt really any "efficient" way to keep intake temperatures down in hot, humid conditions. i would think your best bet is for a cold air box.

ahahahahaha...watch your tubing length when trying to get some cold air. You might hurt throttle response a little bit if you're running long to get out of the engine bay and here's the dumbass clause: Don't boost through puddles

Yeah, nitrous express makes a nice kit that bolts right up to the intercooler!

My car seems to idle higher with the AC on. It idles at 750 rpm w/o the ac and around 900 with the AC.
