cold air setup with turbo?
its really not much of an increase. The ebst bet is to run a ram air induction system at the track and keep the filter some what pointed in a cool air location.
I had mine located in the fenderwell only because that was the easiest way to make the piping at the time. I wouldnt put to much effort into it though.
well, i'm curious because it's getting pretty hot here in texas and with the turbo, underhood tempertures are even worse so i'm trying to figure out ways to releave some of the heat

I to live in Texas and I drive everywhere from Dallas to san antonio and Houston. I always used AC full blast while driving and I dont have tint. You shouldnt worry much.

if you have an IC you should be alright. there isnt really any "efficient" way to keep intake temperatures down in hot, humid conditions. i would think your best bet is for a cold air box.

werd!!! ssblue we are in the same boat. Nothing like a black car running a turbo in 90+degree texas heat. my underhood temperatures are horrible. I have to figure out someway of ducting or spraying something to get it few degrees cooler. Anybody got suggestions?

it's supposed to do that... at least my honda does. ditto for headlights.
My car seems to idle higher with the AC on. It idles at 750 rpm w/o the ac and around 900 with the AC.
