it depends if it has lsvtech or not, if it has lsvtech you should be able to run 7.3 psi without tunning it but if it is just a ls you can run 5.5 psi if it is tuned by a butt dyno

read what he just post.. stock ls motor not lsv

and how can you boost more if is lsv? wouldnt that be high compression already? and you can boost more then that?

man from my experience i see all my buddy boost their ls daily like 8 without a problem and 5.5? even a single cam boost more then that.

anything under 8psi would be safe. But you can boost as much as 11psi, but don't don't it...

its not even really by the psi, its by the horsepower the turbo makes.
if it was by the psi then youd have to find a standard sized turbo because 7 psi on a t3/t4 wont make the same amount of power ona smaller t28.
Ive seen stock ls's handle close to like 280 or so, with a good tune.

am i reading these comments rite? 8 pounds ?
i boosted my bone stock GSR motor at 10psi daily driven with hondata.

with LS i'm gonna say up to 12-14psi with 3bar map sensor dont be scared man u can do 10psi daily driven all day. Its all about the tuning. a stock honda motor should handle up to 300whp daily driven.

only correct post in those WHOLE thread....psi is not universal....run 12-14 psi on the t70 sitting in my garage on your stock gsr...

Without Tune...i would do 6psi and bairly give it full throttle. wait to tune that bitch

once tuned you can run up to 11psi safely but then i would get a GM 3 bar map sensor since a stock map can only read up to 11psi, and if you ever get boost spike, ull have fueling for 12 or 13psi if it spikes.

wow. come on people it depond entirely on what turbo u r running

8lbs on a 14g is fine

but 8-10psi on a t60-1 and ur gonna blow it up pretty fast

t3/t3 i would shoot for 4-6psi

t60-1 bb at 5 psi on a stock gsr will make 280-300 all day and it will hold up

I would refrain from boosting it past 8-9 psi. Stock Honda internals have a hard time coping with any more than that. Not to mention you have to re-map the ecu after that, upgrade fuel system components and injectors. Remember, it's an aluminum block and head...be careful!!

oh forgot to mention u should get ahold of some gst/gsx inj. and a honda resistor box or some 370/440cc inj. and a good fpr with a guage pressure need to be about 40psi and yeah 280 is good reliable goal with the uberdata

thank god someone knows that psi don't mean **** it varies from turbo to turbo... first see how much your turbo flows, then boost accordingly... and like others stated tunning and good fueling is golden!!
