Do i need my oil sensor when iam installing my turbo....
i dont care about the yellow light being on> iam just saying will it hurt my motor any like will it make it run a funny way or somthing
it wont hurt the motor, unless there is a problem and you wont know about it.
i would keep it if i were you.
platinum.

it only tells you when you're below 4psi, which means you're about screwed anyways, but at least you can save your crank from further damage when the bearings go out i guess.
It won't turn the cel on anyways, but i'd keep it in. You'll be glad you did if your oil pressure ever gets low enough for it to come on.
Lack of an oil pressure sensor will not cause a CEL. The ECU is not aware of oil pressure thats why there is no wire in the ECU harness for oil pressure. Nor will a lack of the sensor cause the oil pressure light to come either. Its a switch which is open by default, closed at low pressure. I dont run the stock oil pressure sensor at all.

The only purpose of that light is to trigger when there is so little oil pressure the motor in most cases is already toast, you might be able to save it if the oil pump suddenly fails and you shut it off immediately when you see that light. I removed mine, i prefer not having it, less places for oil to leak and less clutter off the back of my block, i have an oil pressure gauge though.
