Shimmed my LS oil pump
Referring to this thread over at team-integra:
here
I removed the crush washer on the pressure relief spring plug on the bottom of the oil pump. This enables the plug to thread into the hole further, putting slightly more force on the spring. The washer is about 1mm thick btw. I did this to accommodate the new b16 head that will go on in couple weeks.
Referring to the defi oil pressure gauge....
BEFORE: pressure relief opens at roughly 63-65 psi
Hot idle at 18 psi
3000rpm is around 50psi
NOW: pressure relief opens at roughly 75-78 psi
Hot idle at 20 psi
3000rpm is around 55-60psi
I plan on revving to 7500-7700 on the stock ls bottom end, b16 head w/ ITR valvetrain.
