Default what setup ?????

right now i have a b16 hatch with 12:1 comp pistons ... and was thinkin about boost .... im gettin ready to buy a b16 longblock and rebuildin it for all motor ....... i plan to auto-x but want to still have a really quick car .. i was thinkin of goin b16 with pistons and rods and like 15psi ... or maybe even build a d series to handle serious boost .... what do ya think will be good for auto-x and still be able to beat my budd's 2002 z28 .... he is stock now but i still want to be able to run him when he gets some goodies.. those z28's run about a 13.4 1/4

if you want to autox, id say go all motor. you can build an all motor setup that will have more power than a z28. if you want boost you need lower compression and a lot of other things, but it will be MUCH faster in a straigh line, but harder to autocross.

i can make an all motor setup that makes 325at the crank? i dont think so bud ... maybe make a better power to weight ratio than a z28 ........ his car stock makes about 325hp and 350tq ... they really are nasty cars

thats what i meant, better weight / pwr ratio. and YES its possible to make 325 at the crank all motor, just a little unrealistic.
