Hi i jsut bought a 96 Rl for a really great price, but the abs light comes on about every other time i start the car. and i have no idea how to diagnose the problem or pull codes, does anybody know how to do that? also are there any common problems with the abs systems on these cars?

 

I'm not familiar w/ RL, but on other Honda products of this vintage, you simply jump the Service Check Connector (under the glove box, blue connector w/ dummy plug support). Turn key to ON, and ABS will blink the codes, long flash for tens and short flash for unit digits. You will need a shop manual of some type to diagnose the codes, however post back and I'll look up the codes on my Mitchell CD.

i jsut pulled the code, its a 18 ( one long flash and 8 short ones.) this is for the "high pressure system" but what does that mean?
