Default Another ABS Problem

Hi there people,

I know there are a lot of threads on many forums about the abs problem(s) with honda preludes. I have an abs problem myself too

My abs light pops on after about 200 meters or anything. It does this for quite a while now already, but today i tried to get the fault code.
I used the service connector, turned the key, and im not sure about which code im getting at the moment.

The check engine light stays on (but i guess this is normal when you use the service connector) and than my ABS light flashes 3 times. All the time with a short pause in between.

So it's like flash...flash...flash.

After these 3 flashes, it just stops, at all.
Its not repeating it again or anything. If i want to see it again, i need to turn the key off again, and start over.
Im not sure if this is normal, because i keep reading everywhere it should repeat the errorcode over and over.. but ok..

The three flashes.. im not sure how to interpretate them.. is it 12? or is it 21? or is it perhaps giving me code 1 (3 times?)

Can anyone help me out? I was hoping it was a sensor, because thats not hard to replace anyway.

Is there something I need to do before getting the code? Reset the ecu by taking of the negative pole of the battery? Or pull some kind of fuse?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

edit: its a 193 honda prelude 2.3 4ws automatic gearbox.

Sounds like code 1, pump motor overrun, you'd know if it were giving you a different code since the speed and pauses between blinks would change, the code repeats if you leave the connector jumped.

The only thing you can really do about this code is try to bleed the high pressure side on the ABS modulator, if nothing happens when you open the line the pump is bad and needs replacement.

First gen ABS systems on 4g Preludes aren't very reliable, most people just remove them but there is a write up floating around that some were able to disassemble the unit and fix it.

You can reset the ECU by removing the neg battery for 30 seconds or so but ABS codes reset on their own anyway, it's why it's not on when you crank the car up right away.

Ah ok, yeah I wasnt sure about which code this would be, because the pauses and blinking didnt change.

With bleeding the high pressure side, you mean remove exces fluid or air or anything? Where is this modulator found?
Is that the 'pump' near the fuse box (top left motorcompartment, standing in front of it?)

Oh and another question, I was just meassuring all the fuses, but do you know if there should be any power on the abs unit fuse? (7,5A)
Because on all the others, there is power, but not in the abs unit fuse.
I thought maybe this could be the problem.. Probably not though, but just wanted to ask you guys.

If the car is on it should have power all the time, pull the fuse and look at it, should see if it's popped right away.

Yes, air in the system can sometimes trip code 1, bleeding it can help but in my case I opened the bleeder and nothing happened and the system is under a good amount of pressure.

Well there is no power in that fuse socket at all...
And also the fuse is not popped either.. Just noticed that when I pulled out all relays, and fuses which has anything to do with ´abs´.

There is no power on that 7,5A fuse socket, not when ignition key is turned, and not when the engine is running.

And about that bleeding of the abs.. how do I normally do that?
From the looks of it, It has enough brake fluid in it, however I cant really see it that well. When i turn the cap open, there is somekind of filter. Right?

I tried finding how I should bleed the abs, but I really have no idea.
Can you help me out?
