Honda ECUs and Saturated VS Peak and Hold injectors
I'm looking for some in-depth Honda ECU info...
In a Honda ECU, what is it that determines whether an ECU is designed to drive Saturated VS Peak and Hold fuel injectors? Is it something specific that is designed into the ECU hardware? Or is it a function of the fuel maps stored on the ROM that determines what injector type the ECU is designed to drive?
I understand the impedance differences that these injector types have, and I know that the Peak and Holds also require the resistor pack on the injctor harness on a Honda...
But specifically, I'm talking about a P13 ECU (peak and hold) VS a P72 ECU (saturated)... What is the difference? Can I conceivably have maps from a P13 burned to a ROM and use those maps on a P72? Are "Peak and Hold fuel maps" interchangable with "Saturated fuel maps" on these honda ECUs?

what!
here's a low down aite
i have a h22a on my civic i'm using da h22 injector w/ resistor pack and top of dat i'm using p72 wich is a saturated ecu rite!
as long as u have a resistor pack u'r fine
to much blah blah blah on u'r sit man.....

Pulse Width is blind to the type of injector.
What other parameters are defined in the tables that comprise the "maps" in ROM? Is there anything else that would prevent maps from a P13 from working on a P72?
Andrew
how many ohms to operate them the high impeadence saterated injectors use 12-16 ohms to work and the low impeadence use 2-5 ohms. also low impeadence injectors(peak and hold) are made to very high cc like 1200cc's they only make saterated to like 550 or 440 i forget. tahts why most peeps are using low impeadence(peak and hold).

Still need some more definitive info here... Will H22a maps will work just fine on a P72 ECU?
Andrew
p.s. rainforest: Are you the same rainforest from the Endyn board?
