Default Code 22

Hi. I need some help. I have 94 del sol dohc vtech. Blows code 22. It is not the oil pressure switch, or celenoid as I changed it. Not the oil pump. Switched ecu and it still does it. The check engine light comes on and it does not engage. Reset the ecu after changed switch and celenoid. Light went out. Now it is back on again. What else could it be? Also not the harness as it gives power. (I had local mechanic check all this out)
My car was stolen and new engine was put in.

Did you try to clean out the solenoid and pressure switch to make sure there isnt any gunk built up in there?

I took the entire unit (celenois switch and spool) off of friend's care and put it on my car. Check engine light still came on. Thought it was ecu. Took friend's ecu and put it in my car. Check engine light still went on. Took it to mechanic. He checked oil pump and harness (both ok) He put it on his computer after he made check engine light come on. Code 22 came up which corresponds with switch) I then let him put a new switch in cause I couldn't figure it out. He reset the computer. I took the car out and pushed it til the check engine light came on again. I'm sure he checked for goop.
The only thing left is the wiring.?
Can't figure it out beyond this point.

I guess this would be the wiring to the solenoid unit.

Yes, Its got to be a break in the wiring. You are going to have to trace the wires from each of the sensors, looking for a possible crack in the wiring casing.

Thanks for your insight.
I am being told to drive it for a week. I was told that the ecu can get "mixed up".
Mechanic wants me to wait a week.
What for?

Better yet, rewire each sensor and run it right to the ecu's proper plug.

im having this problem as well, but the check engine light comes on when im doing higher speeds on the freeway, it usually engages when i go past 90mph (very near 5th gear vtec, not sure if its related though), throws a code 22. replaced solenoid, vtec pressure switch, checked wires, etc... and still nothing.

code 22 is the code the ECU gives when the check engine light comes on, when the check engine light comes on it leaves a code that you can use to diagnose what the problem is related to, and the code 22 is a oil pressure related problem.
