Hook it up to the LOW pressure line, you'll see a cap with "L" on it.

My advice:
Take the kit back to the store, go to a reputable mechanic and have them evacuate then replenish the system. They can tell how much refrigerant and oil are removed from the system and will put in the proper amounts of both.
Only then can they properly diagnose the system (ie. pressure levels, leaks, etc.)
Otherwise, you are shooting in the dark. Even system pressure can't really tell you whats going on if your rerigerant and oil levels are not correct.
I did the kit thing, with a friend, using his gauges and vaccum pump....we never managed to get it right. Took it to a shop, they put in on thier $5000 machine, sucked it down, filled it up, added oil, and voila.....ice cold air in my BLACK 94 GSR in hot *** North Carolina.
Good luck amigo !
