Default really weird starting problem

i got a 93 integra rs and sometimes it starts and sometimes it wont.....about 2 months ago my car wouldnt start(lets say it was a hot day),it wouldnt crank but you can hear a rapid clicking noise...so i pushed start it...about a couple days later it was fine it would start but it would start hard meaning that i had to turn the key for a good 5 seconds before it actually started...but at least it started....now every morning when i first use my car it would start but if i turn off the car it wont start until the car sits there for a good hour or two...so basically my car starts the first time i use it each day and after that it has to take a resst before it starts... please help me asap

Its you main relay, what is going on is, when you start it, then turn it off, then go to start it right back up again, the interior is to warm, and the relay is failing. So this explains why if you start it after a little while, it starts fine.

Solutions to fix are, get a new relay, or dont turn on your heater, or crack your windows when your only going to be out of you car for a minute or two.

could be main fuel relay.. which is under the drivers side dash
its a common failure.. if you could get a fuel presure gauge on there, when its not starting if its the MFR there would be no fuel presure.. than it would come up right before it starts

also another thing it might be is something in the distrib as i beleve is the problem with my car that does the same on occassion.. our new MFR is coming in tomorow tho because the car is going to be around a long time.. might as well replace it i figure

Yeah, no problem, its right under your steering column practically, like if you put your head on the driver side floor and look up, its right there, if you can give me a few hours, when i get home i can take a picture out of my chiltons and put that up if it would help.

A new main relay from Acura is about 70$.
