Default Any turbo guys switch from a light flywheel back to stock ?

I'm having trouble with my 60' but its mostly my fault. I haven't fully loaded my 2 step to launch with more boost, and its hard to tell when to shift into second. On my data logs I always shift into second before the 60'. Is this normal on a B16 tranny with 24.5in slicks ?

I have a 7.5lb fidanza flywheel on there now and I am thinking of putting the stock one back on to make up for my lack of skill. Has any one else had similar experiences ?

I was having the same problem. I switched back to 22's and the 60' problem is gone and I pass the line at a good RPM now. Since you have the B16 tranny you may not be able to go w/ much shorter of a tire. I had to play alot w/ RPM before I finally got it right. What 2step are you using and are you building boost on the line?

I am using the AEM and I set the Ignition cut @ 7400 and fuel cut @ 7600. It lets some fuel get by and since the ignition is also getting retarded it fires it late and it is burning as it leaves.

I have a set of 22" slicks I dont use because I get about the same 60' but I get slower traps and ET's.

Seat time may be your enemy then. I was having a hell of a time on the 24.5's so, I went back to the 22's for a while. Now that I can build 5psi on the line, I'm not sure how they are going to perform. We'll see this weekend. Good luck to you.

good luck on some new best times, our cars have pretty simlar times. Maybe I'll try the old flywheel next time I have it apart. I'm not worried about loosing 5 HP from a hevier flywheel I'd really like to go from a 2.0 60' to a 1.7 like the SRT4 who keeps beating me has.
