Default LSvtec/B20vtec setups. Any decent links?

Here's the deal: I decided to get back into the honda scene (after owning like 10.) I'm selling my BMW 325is and looking to pick up either a DA Integra or a EK hatch. I know there are some decent threads on ls/b20 vtec but cant seem to find any decent ones. (LS never shows up in my searches because its too short) Basically my plan is this: Either go vtec with the LS motor in the DA if I decide to go that route or drop a B18 or b20 into the EK and drive it around like this for a while until I get the money together to go vtec. I'm trying to find some links on RELIABLE lsvtec/b20vtec setups. I know the threads are out there, I just need some pointers/links/advice.

Any help appreciated, thanks

Oh, and if you're just gonna come on here and post something stupid like use the search button in the top of the screen please dont post at all.

Give king motorsports a call. They can definately help point you in the right direction, and I also believe that they are close to your area.

Yeah, I heard they actually just moved a little closer to my area too. Everything's kinda up in the air right now so I'm just gathering info. Thanks

Well in your case you're selling a BMW? IMO I'll drop doing a frankenstein and go with something that comes VTEC. It seems like the LS/VTEC and all is still young and needs improvment unless you wanna be the trial and error guy too. Other than that, glad to hear you're getting back to Hondas.

What problems did you encounter? This is the kind of feedback I'm looking for.

Ouch. That really sucks. Did they assume responsibility?

I know you're going to hate me for saying it, but instead of searching for "ls vtec", try searching for "lsvtec" or "ls/vtec" (with no spaces). Also, last week I did a write up on my experiences with LsVtec. Here's the link--->https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1102674. You can also try http://www.c-speedracing.com. Go to their How-To section and there you will find a good description of Ls/B20Vtec motor build-ups. Definitely do your research on this one, which won't be hard considering your timeframe. Take your time and good luck.

i had 2 get a catch can for the oil vapors. they were not getting burned in the chamber so they were making the car smoke and not wanna start. if u have a gsr p.72 head only gsr parts r interchangable. dont listen 2 anyone with a b16. if u go with a p.72 ecu u will have 2 plumb in the knock sensor. ur vtec will work without it, but once u hit somewhere around 7 grand ur ecu will pick up on not having the sensor and the car will then run in safe mode without vtec. turn the key restart the car and the vtecs back. for the dizzy, u should get the dizzy that belongs with the head. an ls dissy with a cut arm will work but ur will redlinewill b the same as an ls.very important is the rod bolts and head studs. arp has good deals. gotta have the 6 puck. golden eagle has the oilline conversion.dont go with the whole kit just the line and the fittings. have ur head sent to the shop and have them drill the ls dowel slots. its the 2 rear slots. if i left anything out feel free 2 email me at clasclownn@aol.com

Dude, i know how you feel, i've found that SC is a wasteland for Import cars.. I've had everything i need to do an Ls/vtech conversion on my 95' Integra LS, but there's NO ONE around here that can do it, and since the reason i started working on my car was to learn about how to work on cars, i dont know enough yet to do it myself...But good luck with your search!
