Default gsr intake butterfly system

i have an ls vtec with a gsr head and a phearable ecu. phearable doesnt support this system. i was reading that you pull off the vaccum line for the im to the iab box and block off the im side. what is the iab box? do i have to buy one? or do i just plug the im off and call it a day?

thanks
john

just unplug it, its the mushroomish looking thing to the right of the intake manifold, and theres a vacuum hose going to the top of it. Just unplug the hose and stick a screw in the hose to prevent vacuum leak, and viola your done.

If you have the butterflies deactivated then they will remain open all the time. The vacuum is what causes the butterflies to close when the car is started. So that is the easies way to do it. Don't bother taking things apart.
