Default viper 5900 install in a 1988 ef8 assistance please..THANKS!

i do not know if the wiring diagram in an ef8 is any different but...i've got a few things not working and wondering if anyone would be nice enough to guide me. i've already seen the 12volt and multiple other diagrams but here is a list of things that are not workingfor me...

1. parking light flash
2. door trigger
3. horn? my horn works, it's just i don't know what it is suppose to do with the alarm.

what is working is

1. remote start
2. nuetral safety feature
3. shock sensor
4. hood trigger

i know theres a keyless entry feature but thats something i have to learn about in the near future that really doesn't bother me right know. ( i don't know about relays and such. crx's never came with power door locks)

now, once again, this is the viper 5900. I'm doing the install myself so i can learn...i have to start somewhere. thanks!

If the wires are connected and the features of the alarm aren't functioning properly, then you haven't tagged the correct wire.

sounds right...double check your parking light (to alarm) connection, ditto with door trigger and horn. you should be able to hook up a multi-meter to your light wire and see power (+) with the lights on. the door trigger will be a negative (-) with the door open. i know there are other wires with the same colors under the dash, so you might want to check and make sure you have the right wires before you short something out by accident.

What else did you need to know? Your problem is very simple, and I've given you the solution above.

If you can't figure out the correct wires from the link I provided and your installation manual, then maybe you shouldn't be attempting this on your own.

And BTW, is your CRX a 5 speed? I wasn't aware that there were auto models...

(B18C_EJ8) i'm not trying to be rude but the wiring to the door trigger on the alarm was tested all of which ways. thats why i kinda ignored the post. there is a violet + door trigger input and a green - door trigger input that i assumed at least one of them should go the green and red wire on the passenger side (JDM) passenger side. even spliced all combination directly to the positive or negative on the dome light. ALL combinations were tried.

now with the violet wire installed to any wire (green and red) or (white and blue) the alarm would tell me that my door is open when i try to secure it. and the alarm of course does not go off when i open any of the doors. but the dome light was left on the middle switch when this was all tested and that is why i'm stumped.

i'm a person with common sense and can see how i might sound like a fool in this post but i'm learning by trial and error and would appreciate it if discouragement was left out. thanks again.

Door trigger in your car is negative, therefore the violet + door trigger wire off the alarm is not used at all, and actually should be depinned from the connector.

As stated in the link I posted above, door trigger is green/red in the driver kick panel, and really has nothing to with the position of the dome light switch.
